Introducing... HouseDigital FamilyCinema™. Just don't call it a home theater.
Our belief behind the HouseDigital FamilyCinema™ is that a family should be able to enjoy their dedicated entertainment room together. Whether watching a DVD, watching your favorite TV show, playing the Wii, or renting movies on AppleTV, this room should be a sanctuary that is cozy, inviting, relaxing and entertaining for the whole family.
That's why we've focused on the family part of FamilyCinema. So no gimmicks here: No cup holders, no popcorn makers, no stadium seating.
So how did we do it? We took an 18' x 20' foot room, cleared it out, then added:
- Paint
- Suspended ceiling panels
- Recessed can lights (6)
- Carpeting
- Big cozy sectional couch
- Two matching cozy chairs
- Four 30" Bar stools with table
- Three side tables
On the technical side, we used:
- Three in wall Mordaunt Short Speakers
- Two on wall rear di-pole Mordaunt Short Speakers
- 133" DA-Lite Fixed Cinema Screen
- Sharp 1080P Projector on ceiling mount
- Two Lutron RF controlled light switches (can lights and ambient lighting)
- Pioneer Elite Receiver
- Pioneer BluRay Player
- Scientific Atlanta Cable Box
- AppleTV
- Universal MX980 Remote with RF Base Station
- SONOS zp90 Zone player
Topped off with some love and pride, we ended up with the HouseDigital FamilyCinema™.
