The Clark Family

HouseDigital’s goal is to help you take full advantage of the power of digital, wireless media networking in your home. To really learn how it works, let’s let the Clark family (actual HouseDigital customers) tell their story:

How did it all start for the Clark’s?
We needed a stereo. We had been using a Bose Wave radio, but really wanted to kick things up a notch. So, we called HouseDigital to see about installing a stereo system.

And what did you learn when the HouseDigital representative came to see you?
Basically, we learned that we had the capability of filling our home with music right under our noses! HouseDigital showed us that our own computer could do more than we had ever imagined.

Like what?
Windows Media CenterFirst, we were using our iMac for the basics: kids homework, e-mail, photos, and music downloading. What we were NOT doing was utilizing its power to the fullest. We learned from HouseDigital that we could turn the iMac into a “digital hub” for our family. By setting it up in our kitchen, the virtual center of our family’s experiences, we would have a handy, easy, centralized media center.

What did HouseDigital do to make this happen?
They explained how to use our computer’s software for music downloading so that ultimately, we ended up with ALL of our own CDs installed in the computer. Then, they set up a speaker system throughout our home. Now, we simply go to our computer and...CLICK we are listening to our music anywhere in the house. From now on, we’ll never have to have stacks of CDs, or fuss with a stereo CD tray. The best part is...it is SO EASY!

What other services did HouseDigital provide for your family?
We now have a wireless network in the house. HouseDigital set up wireless internet for use with a laptop. Also, wireless printing ability. Now, when the kids have to write a report, or look up information online, they do so wirelessly! They can be anywhere in the house, click print, and it’s done.

HouseDigital also set us up with an iPod. We are able to have all of our music (over 1000 songs) on the iPod. It can be used for personal entertainment such as when taking a walk, or just to listen privately to music. BUT the most amazing thing about having our music on the iPod is our ability to wirelessly transmit the music from the iPod through our car stereos! Also, with the iPod we are able to wirelessly play all of our music on our stereo at our cottage! No more dealing with stacks of CDs!

From now on, collecting and playing music will be easier, less complicated, and super organized.
